Gratitude Jar Printables

November is a time to reflect and think about the things we are thankful for. It can be easy to forget sometimes, but taking a moment out of our busy lives to appreciate the things we have can help reduce stress and help us refocus on the things we have instead of lack.

For a festive activity for the kids, I thought it would be fun to take a jar and decorate it as a pumpkin and turn it into a gratitude jar. Print out the Gratitude Prompts, cut them out and place them in the jar. Each day, kids will be able to pull out a piece of paper and write what they are thankful for and place it back in the jar. Not only will you have a jar full of gratitude reminders, but it also serves as a cute decoration for your home!

Here’s what you’ll need:

8oz Jar (plastic or glass)
Orange acrylic paint
Brown or green acrylic paint
Wooden spool
Twine/String
Glue Gun
Cardstock
Gratitude Printable Download
Hole puncher

Putting the gratitude jar is simple and kiddos will have fun with this fall craft!

Paint the jar orange
Paint the lid green or brown.
Once the paint has dried, use hot glue to put the wooden spool on top of the jar.
Grab some twine and cut enough to make a bow at the top.
Print out and cut the Gratitude Prompt Printable.
Hole punch the Gratitude Jar tag and tie it at the top to the wooden spool.
Place the gratitude prompts inside the jar.

Mother’s Day Booklet

Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and this Mother’s Day Booklet is a fun and beautiful way to let their mom and grandmas know how much they mean to them. You can staple the pages together and leave it at that, or add a little more sparkle or patterned washi tape to stylishly cover up the staples on the side of the book. Here’s what you’ll need to put this Mother’s Day booklet together.

Materials:

Mom Printable| Grandma Printable
Scissors
Staples
Washi Tape

Cut out each page and then fold it over in half.

With the open ended sides on the left side, staple them together as far off to the edge as you can.

Optional step, after the pages have been stapled, open up the book and fold the pages down so that they book lays flat.

Grab your washi tape and place it on the edge of the book so that it covers the staples, and also so that a little less than half of the tape is left on the side of the book like pictured above. Do this to both sides of the book.

Trim off the excess tape and then let your little ones fill in the book of why they love their mom or grandmas so much! They are going to love the thoughtful gift and enjoy reading what they’re little one has to say. I can’t wait to have my kiddos send one to their grandmas!

I could care less about the cards that came without candy, and let’s be honest who doesn’t love a little something sweet on Valentine’s Day? Because I’m a lover of candy, and all things chocolate, I’ve created a printable Valentine’s Day card that you can print out quickly and stick a chocolate heart onto. Your kids will love helping you put the chocolate hearts on, and they’ll feel like they’ve taken part of making a Valentine’s Day Card for their friends!

Fancy Kid Art – “Little Pumpkins”

We love having our son’s artwork around in the house, and I get super excited about it. I wanted to get JD more excited about fall so I let him do a pumpkin craft yesterday. I also wanted to display it in our home and make it a little bit “fancier” and turn it into more of a decoration so I created this “Little Pumpkins” printable. I love its simplicity and its ability to bring the family together. I adapted the project from here. Have fun getting your kids excited for Fall with this craft!
